However, it has also been reported that Caroline was born about 1828 in (West) Virginia.2 As a further complication, the 1900 U.S. Federal Census reported that Caroline was born in June 1825, but did agree with the state being Pennsylvania. The problem trying to nail down Caroline's birth info is that I have not found any definitive birth or death records, only census enumerations.3

Caroline married William H. Parks on 3 September 1853 in Greene County, Pennsylvania.7
