Birth place: Calhoun County, West Virginia.2

Nancy married Robert Edward "Lee" Summers, son of Joseph Summers and Martha Ellen Matthew, on 23 August 1903 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. Eli Haught was the officiating minister for the ceremony, which took place at her father's residence on Barnes Run.1,2

Nancy died at age 51 from cancer of the liver and stomach on 5 August 1934 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. She had been under her doctor's care from 01 August 1933 until her death.4,3 Nancy's body was interred on 6 August 1934 in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery, Calhoun County, West Virginia; her name appears on the gravestone as "Nancy J. Summers." The inscription on her side of the stone reads, "She believeth and sleeps in Jesus."4,3
