Glenn married Sylva Haney, daughter of Mont Long and Florence Esta Smith, on 19 November 1927 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. G. G. Griffin certified that he united them in marriage at his residence.2

Glenn died at age 41 due to advanced silicosis related to coronary thrombosis on 13 June 1949 at Boling Clinic, Grantsville, Calhoun County, West Virginia. The death certificate was signed by J. S. Boling, M.D.1 Glenn's body was interred on 15 June 1949 in the Snyder Chapel Cemetery, Calhoun County, West Virginia; The inscription reads, "Cemetery name spelled incorrectly as Snider on the death certificate."1
