On 9 February 1920, Rosa married Joseph M. Aston, son of Charles Gibson Aston and Cancedella "Della" McGary, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia. Rev. D. G. Slater certified that he united them in marriage. Note that Rosa's surname was misspelled as "Hencreoth" on the marriage record.4

Rose died at age 23 on 11 June 1924 in Marshall County, West Virginia. The cause of death was post partum hemorage; contributory cause was adherent placenta.1 Rose's body was interred on 15 June 1924 in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fork Ridge Road, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia; her name appears on the gravestone as "Rose Aston." The inscription reads, "Joseph M. and Rose his wife and Rose May infant " (although Joseph was buried with his second wife in the Fork Ridge Christian Church Cemetery).1,3,5
