David W. Ferrell

ID#193, b. 8 February 1892, d. 4 February 1944
Father: Ezekiel Ferrell
Mother: Jennie Bane

Note: The death certificate for David's mother, Jennie Bane Ferrell, identifies Ezekiel Ferrell as her husband. From this, it is presumed that Ezekiel is David's father - although I need to find evidence to support this theory.1

Birth date: 8 February 1892.
Birth place: Greene County, Pennsylvania.2,3

David married Mary D. Aston, daughter of Charles Gibson Aston and Cancedella "Della" McGary, on 15 August 1925 at Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia. James E. Scott, minister, certified that he united them in marriage.3

David died at age 51 on 4 February 1944.2,4 David's body was interred in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fork Ridge Road, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia; his name appears on the gravestone as "David W. Ferrell." There are two stones for David: a small one with only his name, and a newer stone with both his and his wife's names.2,5,4
