An obituary was published on 19 January 1977 in the Moundsville Daily Echo, Moundsville, Marshall County, Virginia.2 The following is a transcription of that obituary:

"JESSE T ASTON Died Tuesday

Jesse Thomas Aston, 95, of RD 4, Cameron died Tuesday at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glendale.

He was born in WV February 6, 1881.

He was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Yoss Aston.

Surviving are two sons, Harold Aston of Terrill Ridge, Cameron and Thomas Montgomery of Ohio; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Lutes Funeral Home, Moundsville Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where services will be held Friday at 1 pm by Rev Raymond Yoho. Interment will be in Wolf Run Presbyterian cemetery.

Jesse's body was interred on 21 January 1977 in the Wolf Run Presbyterian Cemetery, Marshall County, West Virginia.2

A memorial service for Jesse was conducted on 20 January 1977 at Lutes Funeral Home, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.2
