Birth date: about 1 June 1833.1 It has also been reported that Emily was born about 1834.2
Birth place: Washington County, Pennsylvania.1

Emily married John M. Harris, son of Charles Harris and Elizabeth "Betsy" Hubbs, on 17 August 1854 in Marshall County, Virginia. A. A. Reger certified that he united them in marriage at the residence of Auger Dobbs, the bride's father.1

Emily died disease of her liver on 1 May 1893 at Easton (now Glen Easton), Marshall County, West Virginia.3 Emily's body was interred in the Fork Ridge Universalist Church Cemetery, Fork Ridge Road, Glen Easton, Marshall County, West Virginia; her name appears on the gravestone as "Emily Harris." The inscription reads, "Emily wife of J. M. Harris."4
