Maud died at age 76 from cardiac failure due to cardio-vascular renal disease on 26 April 1947 at Glen Dale Hospital (now Reynolds Memorial Hospital), Glen Dale, Marshall County, West Virginia.3,2 Maud's body was interred on 29 April 1947 in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fork Ridge Road, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia; her name appears on the gravestone as "Maud F. McGary." The inscription reads, "Mother."4
