His second marriage was to Rachel Summers, daughter of Anderson T. Elliott and Mary Kelly, on 10 October 1921 at Grantsville, Calhoun County, West Virginia. Floyd W. Dick, pastor of the M. E. Church South in Grantsville, certified that he united the couple in marriage. Both parties were identified as being divorced; Rachel was still using the surname of her second husband.2

Cloid's third marriage was to Elva M. Ball on 10 September 1924 in Sutton, Braxton County, West Virginia. Geo. H. Rector, a minister of the gospel, certified that he united them in marriage.3
