Emily married William Lydick, son of Samuel Lydick and Catherine Fair, on 27 February 1851.4

Emily died from cancer on 8 March 1880 in Marshall County, West Virginia.3 Emily's body was interred in the Beeler Station Christian Church Cemetery, Rt. 250, Marshall County, West Virginia.5
