Birth date: 24 May 1853.2,3,4,5 It has also been reported that Margaret was born about 18516 as well as in May 1852.7
Birth place: Ohio.2,3 In contrast, the 1900 federal census shows her birthplace as Maryland;7 the 1930 census indicates Pennsylvania.8

Margaret married Samuel E. Clark, son of Anderson Clark and Mary Ann Emerick, on 27 July 1876 at Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia. H. C. Sanford, a minister, certified that he united them in marriage.1

She became a widow at age 83 when Samuel died on 1 June 1936.10

Margaret died at age 83 from arteriosclerosis, nephritis and uremia on 11 March 1937 at Highland Avenue, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.2 Her body was interred on 13 March 1937 in Mt. Rose Cemetery, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.2
