Freda and Homer Stewart Jr. obtained a marriage license on 13 June 1953 in Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia. However, it would be nearly two years before they would actually get married according to their marriage record.2 Freda and Homer, son of Orrin Homer Stewart and Elizabeth Virginia "Bess" Harris, were married on 2 June 1955 at Cameron, Marshall County, West Virginia. Gerald L. Postlethwaite, a minister of the First Christian Church, certified that he united them in marriage.2

Freda died at age 70 on 21 April 2001 at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia.4

A memorial service for Freda was conducted on 24 April 2001 at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, Belmont County, Ohio.3 Freda's body was interred on 24 April 2001 in the Riverview Cemetery, 35 South Fifth Street, Martins Ferry, Belmont County, Ohio.3
