Amelia married John Pierce, son of George W. Pierce and Rebecca Logsdon, about 1873.2

Amelia died at age 88 on 23 October 1935 at Cameron, Marshall County, West Virginia. She died from a cerebral hemorrhage, having suffered an earlier one in May of that same year.1 Amelia's body was interred on 25 October 1935 in the Fork Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, 8681 Fork Ridge Road, Glen Easton, Marshall County, West Virginia; her name appears on the gravestone as "Amelia C. Pierce." The inscription reads, "John Pierce — Amelia C his wife — Absent from the body at home with the Lord."1,3
