Commonly known by her middle name, Elizabeth, or simply as Liz. She absolutely hated her first name, Hannah, and refused to use it. She was also known as Aunt Cissy to her nieces and nephews and their families. As recalled by nephew Bob Leach, Aunt Cissy was a nickname that originated when his brother, Norman, couldn't pronounce Liz. The name stuck, and she became Aunt Cissy to family members for the rest of her life.4,1
