Thomas died at age 98 from senility on 19 September 1933 in Marshall County, West Virginia. The death certificate gives the town as Glen Easton, which would have been the location of the post office for his residence on Terrill Ridge. As a result, it seems likely that Thomas died at home.1 Thomas's body was interred on 21 September 1933 in the Fork Ridge Universalist Church Cemetery, Fork Ridge Road, Glen Easton, Marshall County, West Virginia; his name appears on the gravestone as "Thomas S. Terrill." The inscription reads, "Thomas S. Terrill ~ Agnes his wife."1,4
