On 8 March 1943 in Marshall County, West Virginia, Alma applied for a marriage license with Fredrick E. Shipley, son of Albert A. Shipley and Anna (unknown). The authorization to marry was signed 11 March 1943 by J. Randall Crow, Clerk of the County Court.1 Park T. Rushford, a Minister in the Baptist Church, certified that he united Alma and Fred in marriage on 11 March 1943 at Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.1

Alma died at age 82 on 18 March 1991.4
