It has also been reported that Sarah was born about 1835 in Pennsylvania.5

Sarah married William P. Gibson, son of John L. Gibson and Mary Eliza Porter, on 17 February 1857 in Marshall County, Virginia. Wm. R. Howe certified that he united them in marriage.1

Sarah died at age 90 on 15 April 1924 in Kansas.2 Sarah's body was interred in the Union Cemetery, Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas; her name appears on the gravestone as "Sarah Gibson." The inscription reads, "William P. Gibson ~ Sarah his wife." Her burial plot is located in the Graham Cemetery section, Block 7, Lot 48, Space 03.2
