Catharina married Nikolaus Kuhn in 1877, reportedly in Germany.3 Nine years later, Nikolaus and Catharina, along with their children, boarded the S.S. Rhynland in Antwerp, Belgium, to start a new life in America.2 Lizard Point is on the Lizard Peninsula, located in the southern United Kingdom. A quote from the "Visit Cornwall" website maintained by the Official Tourist Board paints an interesting picture:

... gorgeous sandy bays with jagged black rocks jutting out in to the sea. Stand right on the tip of the Lizard and look out to sea. At 49°57' N, the most southerly point on the UK’s mainland, watch the waves as they hurtle to the shore and imagine the thousands of ships that have passed by this treacherous part of the coast on their way across the Atlantic.5

Nicholas and Catharina appear on the passenger list for the S.S. Rhynland, which arrived in April 1886 at New York City, New York. Also on the passenger list: Anna Kuhn, Adam Kuhn, Matt Kuhn and Catherine Kuhn. All are identified as citizens of Germany, having begun their journey from Wallerfangen, Germany, with an intended destination of East Liverpool. Information per the ship's manifest is as follows:
Nic. Kuhn, age 37, male, a laborer
     Cathe. Kuhn, age 36, female
     Anna Kuhn, age 12, female
     Adam Kuhn, age 11, male
     Mathe. Kuhn, age 9, male
     Cathe. Kuhn, age 5, female
They are numbered 145 through 150 out of a total manifest of 347 passengers.2

Catharina reportedly died shortly after arriving in the United States of America.6
