Commonly known by her middle name. The spelling "Edythe" is used in the 1996 updated Krouse family history; whereas it was spelled "Edith" in the 1964 Krouse Family History. Perhaps the change reflects a spelling she preferred and used - and which reportedly appears on her gravestone.5

Edith and Joseph Serenella obtained a license to get married (note that his name was "Giuseppe Serenelli" when he emigrated from Naples, Italy). They applied for the license on 14 June 1926 in Monongalia County, West Virginia.2

Edith and Joseph, son of Giacomo Seranelli and Louisa Palmeri, were married on 15 June 1926 at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. Rev. Peter Flynn of the Catholic Church certified that he united them in marriage.2

Edythe died in 19286 at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia.7 Edythe's body was interred in the East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia.6
