Pisgah Church Cemetery, 2718 Smithtown Road, Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia

Info per a review I once found on Google Maps: "The Pisgah Cemetery is a beautiful cemetery, which dates to the early 1800's. Located on the Smithtown Road (Rt. 73 South) approximately 5.5 miles from Morgantown, the cemetery encompasses the grounds behind the Pisgah United Methodist Church. ... The current cemetery is part of a much older cemetery. The original cemetery was located in the far left corner of the grounds, as you enter the main gate, behind the original church."

Per a photograph taken by Del Groves and appearing on his website (http://ourfamilysaga.com), there is a founding marker in the cemetery that reads, "Pisgah Church 1813."

The cemetery is maintained by the Pisgah Memorial Society, Inc. whose website can be viewed at http://pisgahmemorialsociety.org/index.html. Per a sign at the cemetery entrance: "Their mission is to maintain a well groomed cemetery. The organization relies on tax deductible contributions from families and friends of site owners." A photo of this sign appears on Find A Grave (www.findagrave.com) - see Pisgah Church Cemetery.
