It has also been reported that her name was spelled with two "m"s as Emmeline, but I have not seen this spelling variation in any official documents.^4,5

Emeline married John Rulong on 18 June 1850 in Marshall County, Virginia.^2,5,6

; her name appears on the gravestone as "Emeline Rulong." The inscription reads, "John Rulong and Emeline, his wife."²
