An online obituary was published on 29 October 2005 by the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.2 The following is a transcription of that obituary:

"John G. Beucke

BEUCKE, John G., 72, of Moundsville, W.Va., died Friday, October 28, 2005 at home.

He was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church; a retired employee of Lou Nau Plumbing Co, Wheeling; a member of the Wheeling Elks, BPOE No. 28; a member of the Ballroom Dancing LLC; and a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Clara (Auth) Beucke; two brothers; two sisters; and a grandson. Surviving are his wife, Lela J. "Juanita" (Logsdon) Beucke; three sons, John A. Beucke and his wife, Janet L. (Miller), Burdett L. Beucke and his wife, Diane E. (Miller), and Gerald D. Beucke and his wife, Juanita E. "Nita" (Clower); a sister, Clara (Beucke) Morris and her husband, Charles; five grand children, Amanda, Bradley, Ricki-Lynn, Noah and Hunter Beucke; a great-grandson, Jace Stanley; and several nephews and nieces.

Friends will be received on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, Lutes and Kirby-Vance Chapels, 188 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11a.m. with the Rev. J. Thomas Steele, officiating. Interment will be held in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard"
