The Oak Grove United Methodist Church was established in 1812 on Fork Ridge in what was then Ohio County, Virginia (now Marshall County, West Virginia). The cemetery is located behind the church.
"First church building, a log cabin, erected in 1812. Both this and the church building that followed were destroyed by fire. Present church constructed in 1879. Extra land purchased in 1970 from the John McGary heirs to provide additional burial plots."
