This spelling also is used in the index of "Ohio Births and Christenings, 1821-1962" compiled by FamilySearch. It's unclear why this variation of his surname shows up only in these two records; it doesn't seem to have been used by other family members.^4,5

George and Georgia Pearl "Georgie" Bolyard obtained a marriage license on 15 January 1918 in Summit County, Ohio.⁶ The couple's marriage took place on 18 January 1918 in Summit County, solemnized by C. L. Brown(?), a Roman Catholic priest.⁶ At that time, George was a violinist.⁶

At some point, George became a deputy sheriff, the occupation listed on his death certificate³ when he died at age 45 from coronary occlusion on 18 May 1940.³ He was interred on 20 May 1940 in the East Oak Grove Cemetery, 1291 Dorsey Avenue, Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia.³
