On 4 May 1939 at age 73, Francis died at home (203 Ash Avenue, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia) from coronary occlusion.2 He was interred on 7 May 1939 in the Limestone Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Limestone, Marshall County, West Virginia.2,3
