"Laid Dad to rest today. So many wonderful friends from way back. Reminded me just how wonderful my childhood was growing up in Moundsville. I'll miss Dad greatly but I know he is enjoying Heaven. That's a great comfort. Thanks to all who helped make Dad's final celebration on earth one full of joy and gladness.

It was an incredible celebration. Great music. Dad's pastor preached a little. Dad's choir director sang -- it was beautiful. Shari sang -- made me cry. Probably the best sermon I've ever preached -- felt it deep in my soul. At the cemetery it was snowing and about 26 degrees. Great meal provided by Dad's church."6

Jack's body was interred on 26 January 2010 in the Riverview Cemetery, Round Bottom Hill Road, Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.4
