It has been reported that his middle name was spelled as Leeper, but I have not found that spelling in any official documents.5,2

William married Matilda Siburt on 23 September 1860.6,7

According to his death certificate, William was a farmer.4 He died at age 88 of old age compounded by bronchitis on 2 October 1923 at RFD 1, Glen Easton, Marshall County, West Virginia.4 He was interred on 4 October 1923 in the Bowman Cemetery, Bowman Ridge, Marshall County, West Virginia.4

On 21 January 1891 in Marshall County, West Virginia, John applied for a marriage license with Viola McHenry.1 As of that date, he was living at Lynn Camp, West Virginia.1 The couple's marriage took place on 25 January 1891 at Marshall County, West Virginia. A. E. Barnes certified that he united them in marriage.1

John was listed as the informant on the death certificate of his father, William Leaper Alley, dated 2 October 1923.3 A few years later on 15 May 1929 he was listed as the informant on the death certificate of his mother, Matilda (Sibert) Alley.4 As of that date, he was still living at Lynn Camp, West Virginia.4

John died in 19502 and was interred in the Bowman Cemetery, Bowman Ridge, Marshall County, West Virginia.2
