Birth place: Greene County, Pennsylvania.1 It has also been reported that Elsie was born in Virginia.2

At age 80, Elsie died from arterio sclerosis on 1 August 1938 at Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania. Other death-related issues were apoplexy (a stroke) in 1935, senile dementia (approximately a year) and a gangrene leg (three weeks.)1
