1880 U.S. Census, Illinois, Iroquois County

ID#2386, b. 1 June 1880
As households were enumerated in a census (1880 and later), they were given consecutive dwelling numbers within each enumeration district (ED). Looking at the numbers shown below, consecutive numbers within each ED indicate "next door" neighbors, close numbers indicate families living near each other.

Note that there is a link for the head of most households that will take you to that individual's person page containing detailed information for him or her. If you click the link but your browser stays on this page, it indicates that there is no detailed person page included yet for that individual. An easy way to confirm that this is the case is to check for the person's name in the "Surname Index" - names only appear for people with a person page. Those types of links will gradually disappear as I continue adding people from my database.

Original spelling is retained in the information below - be aware that census records often contain many inaccuracies.

Louisa Church1

ID#2400, b. circa 1841, d. 1 August 1871
Father: Samuel Church
Mother: Sarah Elizabeth Anderson

Birth date: circa 1841
Birth place: Virginia.1

Louisa married Morgan Hostutler, son of Nathaniel Hostutler and Elizabeth (unknown), in 1858 in Wetzel County, Virginia.2

Louisa died from consumption on 1 August 1871 in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Her age recorded in the death register is 20 years, 3 months, 5 days - but this may be a typo as her age would have been 30 if she was in fact born circa 1841 as indicated by the 1850 census.3
