Anderson T. Elliott1,2

ID#1242, b. circa 1845
Father: Henry Elliot
Mother: Rebecca (unknown)2

Birth date: circa 1845.3
Birth place: Iowa His place of birth as recorded when he got married was "Waplo County, Iowa," which I assume was a mispelling of Wapello County.3

Somewhere I once read that he was born on the Mississippi River, but I failed to document the source at the time. However, the previously mentioned Wapello County is in interior Iowa, not along the river - so I am not putting much stock in that assertion without some kind of proof.

Another spelling of his surname is Eliot.2

Anderson's first marriage was to Mary Kelly on 14 June 1866 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. The ceremony was performed by Joseph Smith.3

He became a widower when Mary died on 5 December 1888 at the young age of 40.4

His second marriage was to Laverna Goldsmith on 17 December 1889 in Calhoun County, West Virginia.5
