Although the above date and location is for a "not named" Hartley in the birth record, confirmation that this IS the correct birth information for Clara is found in her death certificate, which shows the full date, county and state, and the names of both parents.⁴

At age 19, Clara died from acute miliary tuberculosis on 29 October 1926 at Loudensville, Marshall County, West Virginia.⁴ She was buried on 31 October 1926 Highland Cemetery, Rt. 250, Cameron, Marshall County, West Virginia.⁴

At age 21, Walter registered in Washington District, Marshall County, West Virginia, and was described as follows: short, medium build, light brown eyes and light colored hair.¹

As of 5 June 1917, Walter Ray was employed a dipper at the U. S. Stamping Company Moundsville, Marshall County, West Virginia.¹ He was living at 1508 Fourth Street, Moundsville, West Virginia.¹

An additional inscription reads, "Uriah J. ~ Alfred G. ~ Children of J. W. & N. B. Harris." They are buried next to their sister, Georgia, who died a few years after marrying Frank Hartley. A stone with the name "Harris" marks the plot.³
